c | J : choreoJournal

choreoJournal is an online journal by, for, and about choreographers and people interested in movement. It values dance-making as a source of new knowledge and questions of craft. c | J places what a body can do, what movement can do, and the information that emerges from its doing at its center. Language is one way among many to engage in a discourse about dance-making and movement. Images, music, drawings, cooking, and many other modes can serve as valuable vehicles for a thoughtful exchange. With this in mind, c | J features bi-annual online journal issues focused on a single question rooted in movement and dance-making. Each question proposed for an issue stands as a hub of thought for people to engage with, converse with, and comment on by sharing their responses in an issue of c | J.
